Ujjayanta Palace is a former royal palace in Tripura. It is popularly believed that the palace was named by Rabindranath Tagore himself when he frequented the place. Built in the early 1900s, it is one of the most magnificent palaces of the last century. Until 2011, Ujjayanta Palace was the legislative assembly of Tripura, until it was shifted to Gurkhabasti.
